Filling & sealing thick product

Ketchup, chili sauce, jams, pastes: product that doesn't pour needs a filler built for it — and a sealer specced to match, not bought separately and hoped together.

What makes it tricky

Thick product breaks thin assumptions

Viscous product needs the right fillerGravity fillers made for water-thin liquid choke on paste. Viscous product runs on piston-type filling — and drip control at the nozzle is what keeps your seal area clean.
A dirty rim is a failed sealSauce on the container rim is the number one cause of leaking seals. Fill accuracy and sealing pressure have to be specced as one system — which is why we quote filler and sealer as a pair.
Hot or cold fill changes the specFilling hot changes what the container and film must tolerate. Tell us your filling temperature up front; it changes the quote.

Common questions

Before you ask

Can you fill chunky sauce with pieces in it?

Depends on piece size and your filler configuration — send us a short video of your product's flow and we'll answer precisely instead of guessing.

Why quote filler and sealer together?

Because when they're bought separately, mismatched speeds and container handling turn into your problem. As a pair, matching is our problem — as it should be.

What containers work for sauce?

PET cans and jars are the common picks. We'll recommend based on your product's acidity, fill temperature and market.
